Emery Walker’s House
Emery Walker’s house is an historic home in Hammersmith, London, which was once the residence of Emery Walker (1851–1933), a notable English typographer, printer, and designer. Walker was a key figure in the Arts and Crafts Movement and had a major influence on typography and the revival of traditional printing techniques.
His house is preserved as a museum and is renowned for its role in the history of printing and design. The interior is particularly notable for its Arts and Crafts-style furnishings and decorations. One of the most famous aspects of the house is Walker’s association with William Morris, another leading figure in the Arts and Crafts Movement, and their work together at the Kelmscott Press

Opening Hours
Pre-booked tours only. Tours are approximately an hour and a half in length. All tours take place at 11am and 1pm on Thursdays and Saturdays.

The nearest tube is Stamford Brook on the District Line. The nearest buses are the numbers 27, 190, 267, 391, H91 which run up and down King Street, Hammersmith’s High Street. Get off at Goldhawk Road.
