Chiswick House & Gardens

Chiswick House

Chiswick House and Gardens is one of the most glorious examples of 18th-century British architecture and landscaped gardens. William Kent and Richard Boyle, the third earl of Burlington, created the House and Gardens between 1725 and 1738. Their rejection of the showy, Baroque style in favour of simpler, symmetrical designs based on the classical architecture of Italy played a significant role in establishing Chiswick as the birthplace of the English Landscape Movement.

Today when you visit you can view the House, 65-acre Gardens, and the Kitchen Garden.
