Today, Orleans House Gallery is a contemporary art gallery, housing the extensive Richmond Borough Art Collection. At its heart, lies the lavish Baroque Octagon Room, which has been restored to its beautiful 1720 design. In 2020, the Octagon Room celebrated its 300th anniversary and to commemorate this special occasion, art collective Alice in Hackneyland were commissioned to create two captivating installations.

In this video, co-founder of Alice in Hackneyland, Jonathan Roson, journeys through centuries of feasting at Orleans House Gallery, and explains the ideas and processes behind their immersive Play with Baroque Ames room and their dazzling sculpture The Fluorescent Banquet.
