Gin might be trendy today but that has nothing on the Gin Craze. Throughout the first half of the 18th century, gin production and consumption swept through London at an unprecedented rate.

This talk looks at why it happened, how it affected society, and what people at the time thought about it through the lens of renowned British artist and satirist, William Hogarth, and some of his most famous prints.
