Turner’s House
Turner’s House in Twickenham offers a unique insight into the life of Britain’s greatest landscape painter, JMW Turner, and is as idiosyncratic and exceptional as any of Turner’s paintings. Designed by Turner and completed in 1813, the house was a quiet retreat away from the pressures of the London art world to which he would invite friends and indulge in his passion for fishing. Turner’s House offers a rare opportunity to experience the private life of this great artist.

Turner’s House is a 20-minute walk from Richmond tube station (District Line). The nearest train station is St Margarets (SW Railway), which is a 5-minute walk from the House.
The following bus routes all stop at Marble Hill Park/Crown Rd stop, which is a 3-minute walk from Turner’s House:

By car
There is no parking on Sandycoombe Road or Turner’s House premises but visitors can park in Marble Hill Car Park for up to 2 hours. Disabled visitors with a Blue Badge can park at the House but the single place should be booked in advance.
